The big front door opened with a click, and excitement filled the house. Papa was home from work! He walked in wearing his blue uniform, smelling faintly of oil and hard work. Zahra jumped up from her coloring book, her eyes lighting up with joy.

Papa was a diesel mechanic named Abdurrahmaan, but to his girls, he was just Papa. He had strong hands that could fix giant engines, but they were gentle enough to hold his littlest girl. "Who wants a hug?" he asked with a wide grin.

Three-year-old Azrah zoomed across the room like a little race car. "Me! Me! Papa!" she bubbled, wrapping her arms around his leg. She started talking a mile a minute, telling him all about her snack, her toys, and a funny bird she saw outside.

In the bouncy chair, baby Khadijah kicked her tiny feet and flashed a gummy, happy smile. Papa scooped her up and gave her a soft kiss on her cheek. Even after a long day of fixing trucks, Papa was ready for his favorite job: being a dad.

After dinner, it was time for the special night routine. Papa marched everyone to the bathroom for brushing teeth and washing faces. He helped Azrah find her pajamas and made funny faces in the mirror until Zahra giggled uncontrollably.

Papa tucked Zahra and Azrah into their warm beds and picked out a storybook. He read with silly voices that made the characters come alive in Zahra's imagination. Then, he rocked Khadijah until her heavy eyelids finally closed for the night.

When Saturday morning arrived, the sun peeked through the curtains. While Mommy slept in, Papa and the girls were already wide awake! "Let's get ready for an adventure," Papa whispered, helping Azrah put on her shoes.

They loved going on errands with Papa. Zahra held Papa’s hand as they walked into the hardware store. She pretended the aisles were secret tunnels in a castle. "Look, Papa! That wrench looks just like yours!" she said, pointing to the tools.

Azrah sat in the shopping cart, waving at everyone she passed. "My Papa fixes big trucks!" she told the cashier, chatting away with her bubbly voice. Papa laughed and high-fived her, proud of his little helper.

Baby Khadijah looked around from her carrier, her big eyes taking in all the colors of the store. Papa made sure to stop and show them a real diesel truck in the parking lot. "This is what I work on so it can drive fast and safe," he explained.

After the errands were done, they grabbed a treat and sat on a bench together. Papa looked at his three girls—imaginative Zahra, talkative Azrah, and smiley Khadijah. They were growing up so fast, but they were happy to just be with him.

Papa squeezed them all in a giant bear hug. He was strong and brave for the world, but for his family, he was full of love. They were his three little stars, and he was their shining moon, guiding them always.
