Bumblebees and Dragonflies Adventures!

By Miss Donnelly

The wonderful children at Radbrook and their families

Betty the bumblebee and Doug the dragonfly sat happily on the soft rug in the Bumblebees and Dragonflies classroom. They loved watching the children build tall towers and paint bright pictures all week long. Even though they were soft, cuddly toys, their hearts felt very big and full of joy. "I wonder where we will go today?" buzzed Betty with a happy smile.

It was finally Friday, the most exciting day of the week for the two fluffy friends! The teacher picked up the special adventure book and looked around at all the eager faces. "This weekend, Betty and Doug are going home with Leo!" she announced cheerfully. Doug’s shiny wings seemed to sparkle with excitement as Leo gave them a big, warm hug.

The weekend was full of fun, from a trip to the sunny park to a cozy bedtime story under a blanket fort. On Monday morning, Leo brought Betty and Doug back to school, safe and sound in his backpack. They wiggled their plush paws, ready to share their new memories with the rest of the class.

The teacher opened the special book, and everyone listened quietly as she read about Betty and Doug's big weekend adventure. Betty and Doug sat proudly at the front of the room, feeling brave and loved. They were already dreaming about who they would visit next Friday!
