Lola and the bear

By Chris Perkin

Lola walked through the green woods, singing a happy song. Suddenly, she saw a little brown bear wearing a green hat and red boots. The bear looked grumpy, but he didn’t seem scary at all.

"Hello," said Lola. The bear blinked and smiled shyly. "I’m a bit scared of loud noises," he said quietly. Lola smiled and held out her hand to be friends.

They played hide and seek behind the tall trees. The bear giggled and forgot to be grumpy. Lola showed him how to be brave by trying new things together.

At the end of the day, the bear was no longer timid. He wore his green hat proudly and said, "Thank you, Lola, for being my brave friend!" They laughed and promised to play again soon.
