Lola walked into her new school with a big smile. She wore her favourite pink cherry shirt and soft matching pants. Everyone seemed to know each other from nursery. Lola felt a little different.

The teacher said, "Bonjour!" and began a French lesson. Lola loved the funny sounds and tried to say the words. Some children giggled, and Lola laughed too.

Next was forest play outside. Lola climbed a big tree and found a shiny stone. She showed it to the other children, who smiled warmly.

During library time, Lola picked a book with bright pictures. A girl sat beside her and said, "I like that story!" Lola's heart felt happy.

They read the book together and made up funny voices for the animals. Lola found the new friend to be kind and funny, just like her.

At snack time, they shared tasty fruit and told silly jokes. The other children listened and joined in the fun.

When the day ended, Lola felt proud. The new school was bright and full of new friends waiting to play.

Lola and her new friend waved goodbye, promising to play again tomorrow. Lola smiled, knowing she had made a special friend.
