To my son Lucien DeDreux. I may be far and only a phone call away, but if we wish hard we can make anything happen. May this book inspire us both.
Little Lucien was a small, cuddly bear with big, curious eyes. One sunny morning, he went outside to look for his mommy’s lost phone while she looked inside. It was a beautiful day as the birds and tree limbs moved in the soft breeze as he searched .

Right outside the garden, Lucien saw something shiny on the grass. It was Mommy Bear's phone that she had lost! Suddenly, the screen lit up with a bright light. Lucien picked it up gently with his paws.

Inside the phone, Lucien saw a large bear with big, kind eyes and a great big smile. It was his Daddy! "Hello, Lucien," Daddy Bear said from the screen, looking protective but sad. "I miss you ," he told the little bear.

Holding the phone tight, Lucien walked into the deep, green forest. High up in a tree, he saw Mr. Owl wearing glasses and a smart vest. "Whooo goes there?" asked Mr. Owl in a wise voice.

Lucien showed Mr. Owl the phone. "I am looking for my daddy," he explained. Mr. Owl adjusted his glasses and smiled. "To find what you truly love, you must always follow your heart," the wise bird advised.

Lucien thanked the owl and kept walking until the path became full of big, rough rocks. Then out of nowhere a strong, brave raccoon jumped down from a log. "I am Ricky the Raccoon," he said bravely. "Do you need help getting across?"

The raccoon guided Lucien safely over the bumpy stones and tricky roots. "You are doing a great job," the raccoon cheered. When they reached the smooth path, the raccoon waved goodbye. "I must go another way now, but good luck and remember, always follow your heart.”

Further in the woods, a pretty deer with long eyelashes and a cute button nose named Tom stepped out. He wagged his white tail when he saw the little bear. "I remember you," Tom the Deer said softly. "I saw you and your daddy playing here a long time ago when you were just a little tiny boy.”

Lucien's eyes grew wide with hope. "Can you help me?" he asked. "Yes," said the deer. "I will take you to my Magical River." The deer trotted ahead, and Lucien followed him quickly.

They arrived at a beautiful river that sparkled with colors Lucien had remembered from his dreams. The water swirled and danced like magic. "Now," said Tom the Deer, "you must hold the phone to the heart you have followed and wish really hard."

Lucien squeezed his eyes shut and did what the deer said. "I wish my daddy would come out of this phone and was here with me, real and strong!" he shouted. Suddenly, the phone began to glow brighter than the sun.

POOF! The phone disappeared, and there stood his real daddy, looking happy and strong. "I am here, Lucien! I am proud of you for following your heart." Daddy cheered, scooping him up for a giant hug. They walked home together, ready to live happily ever after.
