My Daddy the Paver

Daddy is the best block paver in the whole wide world. He has short brown hair and a bright sun star tattoo right under his eye. Tap, tap, tap goes Daddy with his big hammer.

His best friend Hudson is here to help today. Hudson is a very fluffy, white golden retriever with a happy wagging tail. Woof woof! Let us get to work, Daddy!

Daddy holds a big strong block in his hands ready to build. But wait, something is missing! Where is the soft sand to put the blocks on? Oh no, the sand is all gone!

Hudson gives a sassy little bark and shakes his fluffy white fur. He is a brave dog ready for a big adventure. Do not worry, Daddy! Let us jump in the big truck and find some sand.

Beep, beep goes the big work truck! Daddy drives over big bumpy hills to the sand yard. Hudson sticks his fluffy head out the window to sniff the fresh air.

Look over there, Hudson! They found a giant mountain of soft yellow sand. Daddy is so hardworking and scoops the heavy sand into the truck. Hudson wags his tail and gives a happy bark.

Vroom, vroom goes the truck all the way back to the job! Daddy carefully smooths out the fresh yellow sand so it is perfectly flat. Hudson proudly watches his brave Daddy work.

Tap, tap, tap goes the hammer as Daddy places every block. The big paving job is all done and looks so beautiful. Good boy, Hudson, and great job, Daddy!
