Pop! Out of a tiny egg came a little worm named Pip. He wiggled around in the damp, dark soil. Pip was very small and very, very hungry.

On Monday, he wiggled his way up to the garden. Munch, munch, munch! Pip ate right through one crisp, brown leaf. But he was still hungry.

On Tuesday, he found something soft on the ground. Chomp, chomp! Pip ate through two old flower petals. He wiggled his tail, but he was still hungry.

Pip tunneled faster and faster for three whole days! He looked for food everywhere in the garden. Wiggle, dig, wiggle! His tummy rumbled with a loud grumble.

On Saturday, Pip found a giant compost bin! He ate coffee grounds, crunchy eggshells, and soggy pizza crusts. What a wild feast for a little worm!

Pip had a very heavy, full tummy. So on Sunday, he went back to the cool, dark earth. He nibbled on some nice, simple soil. Suddenly, he felt much better!

Pip was not a tiny worm anymore. Now, he was a long and strong worm! He dove deep down into the dirt to make new tunnels. Wiggle, wiggle, dig!

His tunnels helped the flowers grow big and tall above him. Pip did not need wings to be special. He was the master of the earth and the garden's best helper!
